NISHIHAMA, Muriel Michiyo - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Muriel Michiyo Nishihama, in her seventy-seventh year, on December 28, 2023.
She was the loved daughter of Takashi (predeceased) and Yaeko (predeceased) Nishihama and dear big sister to Cathy (predeceased) and Wayne.
Muriel will be missed dearly by nephew, David (Corrie) and nieces, Midori (Mark), Emily and Laura and her best friends, Wendy Rymal and Marion Harris.
Muriel was a dedicated career teacher for the Toronto District School Board. We wish to express our gratitude for the loving care given to Muriel during her illness by Wendy, Marion, Kathy Marinkovic and Dr. Amir.
According to Muriel's wishes, there will be no funeral. If you wish to honour Muriel's memory, please donate to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
Thank you, Muriel for sharing your life with us and enriching our lives with your presence.
