SAUNDERS, Joyce "Jeri" (nee McDONALD) - After a lengthy battle with cancer, passed away surrounded by loved ones at Etobicoke General Hospital, Toronto, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at age 86.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald (Ron) Saunders.
Much loved mother of the late Kim Saunders, Michael (wife, Beverly Saunders), and Jill Saunders (late husband, Rupert Verge).
Loving grandma of Amy (husband, Mike Markidis), David Saunders, Kelly (husband, Dominic Cusati), Brittany Verge. Great-grandma to Scarlett and Reid (Markidis).
Dear sister of Lorraine (Mickey) Sanche.
Longtime neighbour and friend to Olga (late husband, Bill Dykun) and their family. Jeri will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her witty sense of humour, her love of woodworking (The Thistletown Woodchucks), and her dedicated service with Sears as a dispatcher.
She will be dearly missed. As per her request, there will be no funeral service.
A private family burial will be held in the spring.
