HAIDUK, Helen Elizabeth (nee BERRY)   - Peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at River Glen Haven Nursing Home in Sutton, Ontario at the age of 85.

Predeceased by her partner and best friend Bill Heffernan and her parents Russell and Elizabeth Haiduk.

She leaves behind her daughter Susan Brackett (John), step-son Ron Heffernan (Anne), sister-in-law Betty Fantaske (Vince) and 2 granddaughters, Diane and Debra and their families.

Will also be missed by Susan Booth and her husband John and Lukas Tjilong.

Helen had a zest for life and travel; she enjoyed summers at her mobile home in Orillia and loved her outings to Rama.

A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Toronto Rehab Hospital and the doctors and staff at River Glen Haven Nursing Home for your patience and care. At Helen's request a private burial was held.

Memorial service to be held at a later date.

Andrew Augustine DUANE

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
