ALMEIDA, Ganganelli  - December 8, 1926 - September 1, 2016

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Gangi, much- loved father of Cathy and Nellie (predeceased) and husband of Leonie.

Gangi will be remembered by those who knew him as a quiet, intelligent and hard- working man who demonstrated unconditional love for his children and all animals.

Born in Tanzania, Gangi competed on the national field hockey team, played competitive soccer and embarked on a successful accounting career.

After immigrating to Canada, he diligently worked to obtain his CMA degree and spent the majority of his career working at the Ministry of Housing.

A cherished father, Gangi will be greatly missed by his daughter Cathy and fondly remembered by family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd. N., Mississauga on Saturday, September 17th at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Toronto Humane Society is welcome.

Andrew Augustine DUANE

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
