BOWLES, June (nee Smiles) —  Peacefully passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at her home in her 86th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Bert.

Loving mother of John, George Ian (Tim) and Lisa (Kelly).

She will be sadly missed by Thomas, Puss and many other feline friends.

June will be fondly remembered by her family in England and Canada.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John's York Mills Anglican Church (19 Don Ridge Dr.). Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Andrew Augustine DUANE

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
