REIS, Marija —  Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Friday, September 2, 2016.

Beloved mother of Mirjana (late Darko) and Zvonimir (Roza). Loving sister of Steve (Ljubica).

Cherished grandmother of Eric (Carolyn), Mirna (Mark), Irena, Nicole (Dan).

Adoring Baka to Ella, Neven, Grace, Jack and Daniel.

Marija was the family matriarch and always put her family first and brought a smile to everyone's face.

She kept Croatia close to her heart and her family back home was never far from her mind.

Marija was a skilled seamstress and she will be fondly remembered for her loving hand in making beautiful clothing for her family.

Sincerest gratitude to the staff at Gibson Long Term Care Residence for their support and care.

All are welcome to gather at the York Funeral Centre, Toronto, on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Andrew Augustine DUANE

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
