RHAMEY, Eileen Evelyn (nee BIRRELL) - February 15, 1918 - September 1, 2016
After a life well lived, Eileen passed away on September 1, 2016 at the age of 98 years.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Cliff, on August 12, 2001 after 58 years of marriage.
She was also predeceased by her brother, John Birrell, and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Birrell. Eileen was the daughter of Howard and Harriet Birrell and was born on February 15, 1918.
Eileen's children, Mary (Paul), Jean, Anne (Jim), CJ (Adele) and her grandchildren Andra (Tom), Tara (Kevin), Melanie (Louis), Jessica (Zhu), Paul, and Emma will dearly miss Eileen and are grateful for her many contributions to their lives.
Eileen's life journey began and has now ended in Toronto.
Thank you to the staff at Lakeside Long Term Care Centre, who have such caring hearts, and who have been so kind to Eileen.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A celebration of Eileen's life will be held at Runnymede United Church, 432 Runnymede Road on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in Huntsville, ON.

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
