BURNET, Margaret  -  September 1933 – September 2016

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Margaret on September 3, 2016 at Orchard Villa in Pickering.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by Don, her best friend and husband of 41 years; her children Chris (Lynne), Dawn (Andrew), Mike (Joelle), and Diane (Pierre); grandchildren Alexandra, Michelle, Katrina, Vicky, Nicky, Kelsey, Greg, and Adam (Leah).

The memory of Margaret will last in the hearts of her family and friends in Ontario and Quebec.

The family would like to thank her longtime family physician, Dr. Maria Yu for her care and kindness over the years as well as the staff of Orchard Villa.

Visitation will take place at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Cremation.

Andrew Augustine DUANE

On Monday, April 25, 2016, 'Gus', surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his 92nd year. He was born in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland in 1924. He flew in World War II with the RAF and immigrated to Canada in 1946. As one of twelve children, he is survived by his sister Eileen Hickey. Devoted husband to Dr. Vera Solowska for 60 years. Loving father of Helen (Marc Carere), Tom (Anne) and Peg (Tom Best). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Dominique, Luke, Jeff, Richard, Melanie, Amy, Colin, Jenna and his great-grandchildren Anna Bella, Sophia, Cosmo and Kiana. He was always a mentor and loving advisor to his children, their peers and his grandchildren. On May 2nd, friends may visit at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd.
