MAUS, Maureen Rose Maaus (nee MILLSIP)  -  On Monday, October 3, 2016 at the age of 85.

Loving wife to John William Maus who predeceased her three years ago. Sister to Sheila McRae (Bud).

Dear mother to Lynne Sim (Brian), Deborah Klyne (Horst), Catherine Thorner (Dr. Richard) and Pamela White (Kevin).

Fondly remembered as "Grandma John" to Jennifer Stringer (Rob), Matthew and Emma Stringer, Robert Sim (Eun-ah), Michelle DeGruchy (Jason), Kristy Clarke (Steve), Grant Thorner (Bonnie), Scott Thorner (Shannon), Kyle White (Maggie) and Sean White.

"GG" to Olivia Sim, Benjamin, Jackson and Jordan DeGruchy and Amos and Braeden Clarke.

Maureen worked at several different occupations during her lifetime including the insurance business, real estate and retail. In her most recent years, she enjoyed spending time with and entertaining her family, friends, and guests at her Country Charm Bed and Breakfast, Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Maureen also enjoyed her retirement at St. Elizabeth Village. A special thank you to the ICU staff at Hamilton General Hospital.

At Maureen's request there will be a "Memorial Party". It will take place on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Village, Edelweiss Barn, 393 Rymal Rd. West, Hamilton L9B 1V2. The entrance to St. Elizabeth is off of Garth Street, south of Rymal Road.

Those who wish, may make a memorial donation to any of the following: the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society , MS Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
