STRACHAN, Rosaleen Frances (nee McATEER)  - Passed away peacefully at her home in Mississauga on January 10, 2017, in her 88th year.

Rosaleen, beloved wife of the late Joseph Duffin Strachan of Toronto.

Cherished mother of Jim (Sheila), Nora, Liz and Jo-Ann. Adored Nan to Jennie, Jocelyn, Hilary, Ashlee and Courtnee.

Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and great- Aunt Rose to their children. Mom's love of knitting made keepsake treasures of baby outfits, Irish Fisherman knit sweaters and afghan throws for relatives and friends.

Her years working at the Gardens fueled many humorous stories we shared at the family St. Paddy's Day gatherings.

A very special thanks to Dr. Victoria Chen for her years of caring and to the dedicated Palliative Nurses who supported her.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd. E., from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home Chapel, on Friday, January 13th at 1:30 p.m.  Reception to follow at Holy Cross Funeral Home.

Donations to the Trillium Foundation-Cancer Care in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
