PICHECA, Cesare  - May 23, 1935 - March 5, 2017

After battling a lengthy illness, Cesare passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 81.

He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Cesare is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Gina, who shared with him years of immense love, laughter and unwavering commitment. He is also survived and much loved by his children Giulio (Giulia), Marisa (Greg), Daniel (John) and Sandra (Bob).

Cherished grandfather of his beloved grandchildren Alexandria, Luca, Steven and Charlotte.

Born in Celle di San Vito, Italy, Cesare immigrated with his mother and siblings to Canada to make a new life. He was a tireless worker who, along with Gina, built a home that was open to all. Cesare was quick to laugh, was always looking to make others comfortable and was at his happiest when surrounded by his family.

Cesare will be lovingly remembered as someone who took care of many, asked for little in return and filled the lives of those who knew him with laughter and joy.

A celebration of Cesare's life will be held at Scott Funeral Home, Woodbridge, on Tuesday, March 7th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8th at St. Peter's Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge), at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow.

If so desired, donations in memory of Cesare can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
