GOLDMAN, Sol  - October 4, 1924 - March 17, 2017

Sol died on Friday, March 17, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Sol was the son of Sam and Bella Goldman and brother of Murray, all of whom predeceased him.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Phyllis, his children Bob (Marlene), Randy (Charlene) and Ruth (Gary) and his beloved grandchildren Adam, Mara, Shauna, Luke and Emma.

Sol was born October 4, 1924 in Toronto and formed part of the Beatrice Street Boys gang. He was a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces for which he served with distinction.

He ran a number of small businesses during his life as an entrepreneur, including The Oxford Shoppe in the Bathurst-Sheppard Plaza and The Dairy Express at Union Station.

He was always kind and generous, possibly too generous, with his customers.

He had a quick, dry wit for which he will be remembered. The family thanks Josie and all his other caregivers who helped him remain at home until the end.
