Woods BillWOODS, William James 'Bill' - Born May 11, 1959 to Jim and June in Princeton, New Jersey passed away peacefully in his much-loved home surrounded by his pets Peanut, Zoe and Pearl on March 19th, 2017.

Bill was predeceased by his mother, June McCormack (nee Patterson). He will be greatly missed by his father, James Woods; brother, Michael (Heather) Woods; and his sister Julie (Daryl) Carr. He was the much adored uncle to Clara and Laurel Woods and Andrew and Kaitlyn Carr. Bill will also be remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Bill studied at Queen's University obtaining his General Arts Degree in 1982. He later attended St. Lawrence College, becoming President of the Student Body and Valedictorian for his graduating class in Business Administration in 1990.

Bill began work in the restaurant business and then moved to Toronto. He went on to start an antiques and collectibles business, The Tangled Garden. He later returned to Kingston and resumed his restaurant career. To this day customers who knew him still ask for him.

He enjoyed gardening and took pride with his rose bushes, displaying their beauty well into December. Bill loved antiques and interior decorating. He could always find a special spot for a new piece.

Bill was known for his kind spirit, generosity, and many friendships. No matter where Bill went in Kingston, he always knew somebody. For those whose lives have been touched by Bill, he will forever remain in their hearts. On to your new path Bill, knowing you will walk with ease.

Please join us in celebrating his life at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson St., Kingston, on Saturday March 25th. There will be a service at 2:30 with visitation both before and after. The visitation, service and refreshments will be from 1:30 to 4:30.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Kingston Humane Society, the Kingston Frontenac Mental Health and Addiction Services, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
