Davey WinnifredDAVEY, Winnifred 'Jean'  - Went to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the age of 94.

Jean was born in Tyrone on May 6, 1923 to parents, Raymond Davey & Florence Fraser.

She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings; brother Donald Davey & his wife Kathleen, sister Verna & her husband C. Dean Hodgson, sister Laura & her husband Newton Hackney and brother Howard Davey.

Survived by sister, Lois Grant and husband Sam and sister-in-law Delores Davey.

Aunt Jean will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

After high school, Jean worked at Bank of Montreal in Bowmanville. She joined R.C.A. F. in June 1943 - discharged July 1946. She graduated from U of T & Teachers College in 1956 and U of T Library School in 1964. She was a Board of Education Cataloger until her retirement in 1983.

The last few years, Aunt Jean was under the care of her nephew, Glenn Hodgson & his family, and we are so grateful for the wonderful and compassionate care of the staff at Glen Hill Strathaven, especially the staff on the Spruce Unit.

A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Interment held at Bethesda Cemetery.
