      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Feel free to add to our memorial in front of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

Hayes MargaretHAYES, Margaret  - (February 16, 1918 - July 19, 2017) - 

Peacefully in her sleep at Hardy Terrace Long Term Care, Mount Pleasant on Wednesday, July 19th, 2017, in her 100th year.

Beloved wife of the late George Hayes.

Dear sister of Islay (Bud) Beare of Whitby. Dear aunt of Douglas Guest and his wife Linda of Mount Pleasant and Brian Beare and his wife Lola of Whitby. 

Predeceased by her sisters Helen Walker and Vera Guest.

She will be fondly remembered by her 2 great nephews Jeremy and Matt, and her 2 great nieces Jessica and Jaclyn, and her 4 great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, July 31st at 1:00 p.m.

Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations to a CHARITY of your choice would be appreciated.
