      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

Collins RossCOLLINS, Ross Glendon  - March 30, 1924 - July 30, 2017

Peacefully with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 at 93 years of age.

Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Grant).

Loving father of Carolyn, Shirley (Clarke), Coleen, Rodney, Pat (Chris), Kathy, Glen (Carol), James (predeceased) and Joyce (predeceased) (Leonard).

He will be sadly missed by his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Dear brother of Jean (Alan), Pearle, and the late Margaret, Lester, Cyril, Milton and Ferna.

Ross will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, August 2nd, 7 – 9 p.m. and on Thursday, August 3rd, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, August 4th, at 1:00 p.m. Private Interment at Thornton Cemetery.  

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
