      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Feel free to add to our memorial in front of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

Leetch MarthaLEETCH, Martha (Meta)  -  October 19, 1932 - August 17, 2017

Passed away peacefully at Fairview Lodge on August 17th 2017 in her 85th year.

Meta passed over in the arms of her daughters and with her family by her side.

She will be dearly missed by her 4 children, Paul and his wife Barb, Ralph and his wife Selina, Jayne and her husband Robert Wheatley, Karen and her husband Craig Power.

Lovingly remembered by her 8 Grandchildren; Donna, Robert, Amanda, Lynsey, Jessica, Jonathan, Kaitlin and Alex, and her 3 Great-Grandchildren, Nathan, Aurora and Myles. Dear sister of Jim and his wife Anne, Margaret and husband Mike, Kay and husband Jim.
She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in Canada and N. Ireland and especially her niece Anita. A special mention to her surviving sister-in-laws, Jean and June. 

Meta will be missed by her two best friends, June and Emma.

No words can express the love, care, compassion and dedication given by  the staff at Cullen Gardens and those of Fairview Lodge that cared for Meta in the last 5 years of her life.

Visitation to be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 87 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, August 19th from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
