Lyons CharlesLYONS, Charles “Chuck” Douglas - August 2, 1949 - September 6, 2017

Chuck’s family is saddened to announce the loss of this wonderful man.

He fought a long and courageous battle against cancer right up until the end, and passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, September 6th, 2017.

Cherished husband and soulmate of Chris.

Beloved father of Jason (Becky), Jeff, Tori (Paul) and Adam. Proud Poppa Chuck to Braeden, Paige, Chase and Noelle.

He will be fondly remembered by his sister Madeline, brother-in-law Howard (England) and other family members, and his many friends in Canada and England.

He will be greatly missed by his little pussycat and constant companion Lily.

Chuck worked for Kaycan for 30 years and was well respected in the industry.

He had many interests in life – he coached baseball for many years, was an avid 5 and 10 pin bowler, loved to dance, was a great home renovator, and was always open to learning and doing new things.

As a history buff and would be connoisseur of fine ales, he thoroughly enjoyed his visits to England over the years. He enjoyed life and all its quirks and never lost his sense of humour.

His greatest lessons for his family were to never give up, follow your dreams, always care, be honest, have integrity, and never ever be afraid to love.

Rest well dear man, you deserve it – we will carry your love with us forever.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private Celebration of Life held in his honour.

Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program, or the Princess Margaret Hospital.
