van NOSTRAND, Sheilah Frances (nee MORTON) - September 3, 1939 - October 15, 2017
It is with deep sadness we announce that at the age of 78 after a brief illness Sheilah passed away peacefully on October 15, 2017 at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket.
Lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 35 years, George van Nostrand.
Remembered with love and fond memories by the Morton family, the van Nostrand family, many friends, neighbours and nursing colleagues at Southlake Regional Health Centre. She had a lengthy and fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse in several hospitals.
She was passionate in her love of many dogs who entered her life as companions and was a passionate advocate for animals and wildlife.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sheilah may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre or a charity of your choice.
At Sheilah's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
