BARKER, Nancy (nee Alsop) - Nancy Barker, 91, of Don Mills, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2017.
Nancy was born in Newsham, North Yorkshire, England on July 24, 1926 and she married Jack Barker on June 10, 1950.
They immigrated to Canada in 1961 and were married for 48 years.
Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother and an exemplary homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and books and was actively involved in her church and as a volunteer with Goodwill for many years. Nancy is survived by children Nancy Louise, Timothy and Nicholas and by grandchildren Gemma, Eliot and Oliver.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Jack. A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held on Saturday, December 9th at 1 p.m. at the Church of Our Saviour, 1 Laurentide Drive, Don Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Diabetes Canada.
