FRASER, Ian Thompson  - October 13, 1943 – Toronto, Ontario – November 14, 2017 – Calgary,

Alberta Ian Fraser passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the age of 74 years.

Ian was well known for his spirited humour, sense of justice and love of travelling from sea to sea throughout Canada.

His passion for genealogy united many generations of family members and attending symphony concerts with his beloved wife was a favourite pastime.

Ian will be loved and forever missed by his devoted wife of forty-nine years, Marjorie (nee Fisher); brother and sister-in-law, David Fraser and Irene Thornber; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Aprylle Fraser; two daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle Fraser and David Hunt and Lynne and Blake Chalmers; and his cherished grandchildren, Aidan and Sophie Fraser, Corbin and Jet Chalmers and Delilah Hunt.

His life will be celebrated at McInnis and Holloway Fish Creek (14441 Bannister Rd. SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

The Memorial Service will commence at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the funeral home.

Visitation will be open at 1 p.m.
