HANNA, Douglas Harland  - August 26, 1921, Centreville, ON to November 8, 2017, Kanata, ON.

Doug was born to Ross and Olive.

He was predeceased by his sister Margaret Houck and infant son Harland.

He is remembered with joy by Marilyn (nee Swalm), the love of his life, best friend and wife of 70 years; his children Beverley Thorpe (Ron), Edward (Rysa), Louise Walker (Jim) and David (Colleen); nine grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Andrew, Tia, Everett, Kate, Bradley, Lauren and Sarah; five great-grandchildren, dear brother-in-law Jack Houck and sister-in-law Gladys MacPhail. Doug graduated from Queen's University in 1944 (Chemical Engineering).

He took a job in Toronto with Canadian Hanson & Van Winkle (CIL). Shortly after his move to Toronto, he met and married his sweetheart Marilyn.

The family wishes to thank Louise and Jim for the extraordinary care that they provided during the last years of Doug's life as he struggled with a number of medical issues. No visitation. Interment in Toronto.
