Rattray JoanRATTRAY, Joan Olive (nee NUGENT)  - Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on November 11, 2017 in her 90th year.

Beloved wife of 65 years to Norman.

Loving mother to David, Janet and Anne Buck (Stephen).

Very proud Grandma to Blair, Blake; Julia, Alyson, Colleen; Adam, Ian and Cameron.

Joan will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, Jo-Anne, Tim, Susan, Geoff, Jessica, Joanne, Bruce and Ross and their children.

Special sister-in-law to Evelyn Nugent. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was also blessed with countless friends and had a special gift of making others feel special.

Joan showed sincere interest in others and spread joy to so many people each and every day of her life. Joan and Norm were fortunate to have lived in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto during their married life.

In each city they found a church home, where they served and made many lasting friendships.

Their life was rich in their relationships with family and friends. Joan and Norm have resided at Donway Place Retirement Home for the past five years.

We wish to thank the caring staff for their great care of Joan, especially over the past 18 months. We are thankful for Joan's full and wonderful life. Her compassion, her friendly smile and caring for others will be remembered with much love.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge Street.

A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, November 24th at 1 p.m. at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Fresh Air Fund and the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
