McLEAN, Barbara Joan - Born in Lansing, York County, on November 24, 1931, Barb (nee McKain) formerly of Toronto and Meaford, passed away at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the age of 86.
Barb worked for several years in Toronto with Canada Post and she and her husband Ed McLean raised their three boys there.
She and Ed maintained a fondness for the Georgian Bay area and after Ed's retirement from North York Hydro the couple planned and built their home in Meaford where they shared many years together in retirement and where they were members of the Meaford United Church.
Barb was predeceased by her beloved husband Ed in 2008 after 56 years of marriage. She will be recalled as a loved mother by her sons Doug of Richmond Hill and Alan (Anne) of Barrie and she was also predeceased by a son Bruce in 2010.
Funeral services, officiated by Reverend SallyAnn Longfellow, will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home, Meaford, on Thursday, November 30th at 2 p.m. Barb's family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Meaford.
