Beloved son of Paul and Anita Downie and son-in-law of the late Dr. David and Patricia McCourtie.
Loved brother of Michelle Dean and her husband John. Brother-in-law of Kate and Derrall Bellaire and Jim and Kim McCourtie.

Mark will be remembered by all who knew him for his caring nature, profound loyalty, wit and awesome sense of humour.
Friends and family may call at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville, on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
