STEVENSON, Norma Kathleen (nee LANGILLE)  - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brave, beautiful mother at the Dorothy Ley Hospice on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

She was surrounded by the love of her children until the end.

This great lady was the beloved wife of the late David John Stevenson, loving mother to Lisa (Olaf Alders) and Michael (Claire Sturgess) and doting Noey to Skylar and Celia, Nono to Kate and James, and Nonie to Megan, Meadow and Zach (we sometimes found it confusing too).

Born on September 28, 1938 in Wallace Bridge, Nova Scotia into a large and loving family, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie and Clinton Langille and predeceased by brothers Cecil and Carmen. She will be greatly missed by siblings Iva, Judy, Kay, Dale and Dean and by many friends and extended family.

Norma left home at 17 and moved to New Toronto in 1955 where she made many wonderful lifelong friends including Marg, Irene, Gerry, Fred and his late wife Mary.

After the loss of our father in 1997, happiness was once again brought into our home when Mom was asked to care for her new neighbours' infant daughter. Megan would continue to visit her Nonie and they cherished their time together for 18 years.

She loved to read and bake and feed all the animals which came across her lawn but most of all she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. We can't begin to express how much she will be missed.

Visitation to be held Tuesday, December 5th from 7-9 p.m. at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. West.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Dorothy Ley Hospice (https://www.dlhospice.org) or your local Humane Society or animal rescue organization.
