BLASUTTI, Lola Rose - While it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Lola Rose Blasutti on Monday, December 4, 2017, we find great peace and take comfort in knowing that Mommy and Daddy - Jennie and Nick Lombardi – were there to greet her with open arms.
Lola was surrounded by the love of her family and friends until her last breath.
Cherished wife of Bruno Blasutti for 62 loving years, sweet sister of Jenetta Spatafora (Andrew) and Rev. Fr. Massey Lombardi, sister-in-law to Jack and Deanna. Aunt of Andreanna Spatafora (Will), Stephen Spatafora (Windy), Tina Downey (Clyde), David Blasutti (Cathy) and Paul Blasutti (Astrid), adopted nieces Tanya Antenucci, Claudia Serrano and their families.
Great-aunt to Alexandra, Joshua, Ryan, Geoffrey, Matthew, Amanda, Nicholas and Cassandra. Lola and Bruno purchased their first and only home on Hernshaw Crescent, in Etobicoke and remained there for 53 joyful years. During Bruno's extended illness, the love and support of dear neighbours Joanne and John, Anne and Duncan, Diane and Tony, Papa Peter and Natalie and dearest friends Ursula, Christine, Ann, Michael and cousin Joe were invaluable to Lola's ability to maintain her independence despite her own significant health challenges.
During the last year, Lola deeply appreciated the loving care that she and Bruno received from all the staff and caregivers at Sunrise of Mississauga since moving into their beautiful new apartment on Burnhamthorpe Road.
To honour her deep, heartfelt commitment, her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lola's name to the Sisters of St. Joseph at 101 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, Ontario M4H 1M2.
Please join us in celebrating Lola's life with Visitation on Friday, December 8th from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. W.
A Funeral Mass and Gathering will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church (480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke) on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10 a.m.
