REYNOLDS, Alice Christine - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Alice, peacefully at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, just days short of her 91st birthday.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Reynolds (1992), sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Fergus (Lee) and Kieran (Nance Viktil) and her daughter Pauline Reynolds Hussey (John Downey). Mom, even though you have left this world, you will be forever in our hearts and memories.
Cherished grandmother to Christine, Shannon, Brendan, Samantha and Michele and great-grandmother to Michael and Patrick. Born into a family of 13 and survived by her brother Billy Byrne and Betty Walsh.
Alice will also be sadly missed by her many friends and former colleagues. Emigrating from Dublin, Ireland, together with her husband Joseph in 1957, they established a wonderful life for their three children for which we will all be eternally grateful.
Always bright, cheerful and giving of herself, mom was devoted to her faith and cherished every moment spent with her family.
We want to thank Dr. Baguio and the entire nursing and PSW care team at the Margaret Bahen Hospice for the wonderful care given to our mother during her stay, as well as for their tremendous ongoing support to our entire family. We are most grateful.
Family and friends will be received at the Holy Cross Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 8th. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home Chapel, on Saturday, December 9th at 11:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Alice's memory to the Margaret Bahen Hospice, 653 Queen Street, Newmarket, is welcome.
