FIELD, Stanley Ernest - With heavy hearts but many wonderful memories, the family announces the passing of the most terrific Father and Papa on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the age of 97.
We are so thankful for his long life, well lived.
The love of his life, Esther, predeceased him in June 1999.
He was a loving and supportive father to David and his wife Brenda, as well as Karen and her husband Kevin Galbraith (predeceased October 2017).
He was so proud of his four grandaughters, Kali, Jaime, Britney and Lindsay and so delighted with his great-grandsons, Mack Perrin and Mason Jones.
Stan's great sense of humour, honesty, wisdom and wit, won him lifelong friends wherever he went - at IBM (where he spent 42 years), on the golf course (where he spent most of the other years!) or playing the piano (on any keyboard he could get his hands on).
The one thing we know for sure is that Esther and Kevin were waiting to welcome him on the first tee! We will all miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will take place at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with words of remembrance at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
