THOMPSON, George Evan - Passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2017 at the age of 80.
George was predeceased by his beloved wife Debby (nee Gwilt) with whom he shared his passions for theatre and sailing.
Also predeceased by brother Art Thompson and sister Beth Slinger. He was father, step-father and father-in-law to Allison Thompson and Ian, Gord Thompson and Nadya, Chris McBride and Tina, Shawn McBride and Laurie and grandfather to Jessica, Isabella, Lonya, Misha, Tyler and Megan.
He is also remembered by Airdrie Thompson Guppy, as well as many other family members, friends and caregivers.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at his church, Hopedale Presbyterian in Bronte, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11 a.m.
Donations can be made in George's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
