Santin RaymonSANTIN, Raymon Alfred Raymon  - Alfred Santin died peacefully in his 87th year, during the early hours of December 7, 2017, following a brief illness at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

Beloved husband of Sylvia Pegis Santin, father of Neil Santin, Ray was predeceased in 1993 by his most cherished daughter, Marina Lorraine Santin.

Born in Weston, Ontario to Nillo and Nancy Santin, Ray was older-brother to Robert Santin, much-loved "Uncle Ray" to niece Tracey Santin Beaudry, husband Mike and their children Michelle and Matthew.

As well as, a score of nieces and nephews by marriage: especially, Stephanie Wengert Watts, Alix Wengert and Adam Wengert, children of the late Marina Pegis Wengert and brother-in-law Robert Wengert.

Ray retired as Dean of the Academic Division at George Brown College after a pioneering career in ESL (English as a Second Language), promptly resuming his early passion for the life of a Big Band Jazz Musician; at present, he enjoyed his position as one of the GTA Swing Band's founding members.

Without question, Ray's family came first in his heart and soul - but his Selmer tenor saxophone was never very far behind. Family and friends are invited to attend Trull Funeral Home (2704 Yonge Street) for visitation Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (2565 Bathurst Street) at 11 a.m. An interment to follow.

Flowers and/or memorial donations to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation and St. Michael's Hospital Foundation would be gratefully accepted and appreciated.
