BELZA, Wanda (EBERMAN)  - Passed away peacefully in Toronto on January 9, 2018 in her hundredth year.

Wanda's incredible journey took her from Germany to Poland, to Switzerland as a displaced person during WWII and later to Canada, which she proudly called home.

It ended with warmth at The Village of Humber Heights retirement home, where she lived for her final 6 years, cared for by its truly remarkable staff.

A lifelong educator, avid tennis player and beloved wife for 45 years to her late husband Michael, Wanda will be greatly missed by her children George, Stan (Tish) and Christine (Tom O'Brien) and her dear friend Mara Arndt; her grandchildren Kerry (Patrick), Todd (Christina), Ellen (Paul), Michael (Vanessa), Wanda and Patrick (Ashley); her great-grandchildren Aidan, Ava, Scarlett and Brandon, who affectionately knew her as "Big-G"; her first cousin Inga Smith; her Polish and American relatives; and her friends.

Wanda was also a wonderful pet mother to dogs, cats and many squirrels in Willowdale.

Visitation: Thursday, January 11th, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. Funeral Mass and Burial: Friday, January 12th, 11:30 a.m., Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, Thornhill. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam contributions may be made to Covenant House, Toronto or to Haven of the Heart, Palgrave, Ontario.
