Hetherington BobHETHERINGTON, Robert Stanley 'Bob' - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Hetherington on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Millennium Trail Manor at the age of 83.

Predeceased by his loving wife Ruth, cherished grandson Kevin, siblings Bill, Alex, Jim and George, sister-in-law Marg.

Devoted father to Sue (Martin) Fletcher, Barbara (Jim) DesChamps, Lynn Taylor, Peter (Terry-Lynn) Hetherington, Joy (Mike) Popadinac. Beloved grandfather to Rachel, Jennifer, Joshua, Stefanie, Jordan, Adam, Shaun, Tasha, Alexandra, Drew and great-grandfather to Andrew.

Robert will be sadly missed by his brothers Doug and Ken, sisters Violet, Lydia and Margaret, sisters-in-law Evelyn, Carol, Ethel and Jean, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Bob worked at Bell Canada for almost 40 years, retiring in 1992. His passion for music began in the drum corps and extended his entire life as longtime member of the Gentleman Songsters, and then The Niagara Men's Chorus. He was a dedicated servant of God at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion 479.

Bob's family would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to the compassionate staff at Millennium Manor for their loving care and kind touch, as he struggled through the final stages of Alzheimer's.

In keeping with Bob's wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 10:15 am on Saturday, January 20th at Pleasantview funeral home, 2250 Highway #20, Fonthill, Ontario. A Celebration of Bob's
life will follow at Falls View Hose Brigade, 5786 Dunn St. from 12:00-4:30pm.

If so desired memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
