Hirst AllenHIRST, Allen John - With deep sadness, we announce the death of Al Hirst, in his 88th year, on January 19, 2018 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, surrounded by loved ones.

Al leaves behind a heartbroken family: his devoted wife Margaret and four loving children, Carrie (Richard), Bob (Laurie), Mark (Heather) and Denise (Robert).

Beloved grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Robert, Stephanie, Joseph and Maggie; great-grandfather of eight.

Al will be greatly missed by his extended family and many cherished friends.

With his intelligence and delightful quick wit, Al brought joy and laughter to all those who knew him. Special thanks to Shawn, Mary Jane and Jim for their loving support.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of Jane subway, for visitation on Wednesday, January 24th from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3055 Bloor St. W., west of Royal York Rd., on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
