KRASNOZON, Walter Harry  - February 15, 1936 – January 20, 2018

With great sadness we announce the passing of Walter from complications due to a stroke.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Ann of 59 years.

Loving father of Cathy (Jeff Brooks), Steven (Connie), and Bob (Jane). Proud grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle to amazing family who always had a very special place in his heart. Predeceased by his parents Doris and Harry Krasnozon. Survived by his loving sister Marie (Bill Kumhyr).

Predeceased by his older brother John (Josie). Walter loved all sports. He coached his sons in hockey with good friend, George Hyndman. He attended all his children's hockey and lacrosse games and tournaments. He worked for Goodyear Tire, Anaconda, and Maple Leaf Foods.

Walter was known to his friends as "Wally". He was outgoing, friendly and chatted up everyone in the mall: Clerks, tellers and those he bumped into. After his many health challenges, it was common for Ann to be asked "How's Wally?".

Now we know there will be a chorus of "Hi Wally" from all his old friends and family who have passed before him. He enjoyed camping, and driving across Canada and the US on family trips and taking the children and their friends to drive-in movies. Later, Ann and Walter shared a passion for travel, making lifetime memories with trips to Hawaii, Europe, Texas and on cruises. He was also proud of his Ukrainian heritage making a memorable visit to his parents' birth place.

Visitation will be at Turner & Porter, Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by a Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your favourite charity.
