GARDINER, John - Passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of February 4, 2018, at West Park Long Term Care after courageously battling a long illness.
He was the proud husband of Mary Elizabeth Gardiner (nee Rutherford) whom we lost in 2010.
John will always be in the thoughts of his daughter Catherine, son Robert (Cindy) and grandson Nathan.
Prior to his retirement, John spent many years as a Teacher and Administrator with the Etobicoke Board of Education where his enthusiasm for education enriched the lives of the many students he mentored.
A celebration of his memory will be held at Humbercrest United Church, 16 Baby Point Rd., on Thursday, February 8th from 2-4 p.m.
