GOLDSTEIN, Dian  - It is with disbelief and a profound sense of loss that Dian Goldstein's family announces her passing, at the age of 78, on Monday, February 5, 2018.

Beloved wife of the late Allan Goldstein; devoted mother and mother-in-law to Darren Goldstein and Heather Platt, Lynn Goldstein and Ari Azoulay, and Brian Goldstein.

Dear sister of the late Lorraine, Sylvia and the late Ed Skolnick; cherished gramma to Ella, Theo, Chloe, and Zev and treasured auntie to her dear nephews and nieces and their children.

Dian had an enthusiasm, wisdom and candor that continually inspired her family and many close friends. Guided by a fundamental belief in justice and human dignity, she was a tireless advocate for society's disenfranchised, always standing up for what was right. Outspoken, warm and witty, she brought energy and community to everything she did - whether hosting Hannukah for her family or playing bridge with her friends.

Throughout her life, Dian loved art, music, games, travel and spending time with her friends and family. In more recent years, Dian enjoyed spending winter months in Florida where she loved walking on the beach with her "Huzzie". She adored her four grandchildren and she spent many happy afternoons with them swimming, at the park, or playing rousing and competitive games of Monopoly, Chinese Checkers and CandyLand. She will be deeply missed.
