MacNAUGHTAN, Eleanor Ard (nee DARROCH) - Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, having recently celebrated her 90th birthday in January.
Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many, Eleanor was always a calm and compassionate presence, providing a home to the underdog and disadvantaged.
She served for many years as a foster mother with the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, caring for children with developmental and physical disabilities.
Friends and family will be received at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, with funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow.
Special thanks to the staff at the Chartwell Gibson Long Term Care Centre for their unwavering care and companionship for almost 13 years.
