HENVILLE, Charles Michael - It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Michael Henville announces his passing after a short illness on Friday, March 9, 2018.
Michael was born (April 30, 1943) on the beautiful island of St. Kitts, to parents Frank and Phyllis Henville.
He studied electrical engineering in England before moving to Jamaica where he worked for the Government as well as completing post graduate studies at the University of the West Indies.
In 1979, he and his family moved to Toronto.
In Canada, he worked for Ontario Hydro and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 47 years, his sister Dawn, brother Charlie (Gabrielle Fay), children Christopher (Simone Waite) and Philip. Michael was loved by his family and will be fondly remembered by his 4 grandchildren: Miguel, Maya, Charlie and Carys. He will be greatly missed by his many relatives, friends and colleagues in Canada, the Caribbean and England.
Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Homes (660 Kennedy Road, Toronto, Ontario) on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Jubilee United Church (40 Underhill Drive, Toronto, Ontario) on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
