Lacalamita LeonardLaCALAMITA, Leonard  - May 5, 1929 - March 16, 2018

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Leonard LaCalamita on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the age of 88.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rose Esther, his son John (Olga), daughters Diane and Nadine (Michael) and grandchildren Lauren, Matthew, Michael and Thomas.

Born in North Toronto, he entered into business with his wife in Leonard Pharmacy on Avenue Road, which they ran together for 33 years. Leonard had a passion for photography, oil painting and horse race handicapping, in no particular order, and could often be seen enjoying a fine day out with his racing form and a sharp pencil.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd.  A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND PARISH, 222 Ridley Boulevard (Avenue Road and Ridley Boulevard) on Saturday, March 24th at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
