Don was born in Markham on January 12, 1931 to Herbert and Catherine Thomas.
Don is survived by his wife Doris (Woodland) of 56 years, his son Bradley (Sally), his son Grant (Melaine) and his two granddaughters Rachel and Hannah.
Don was predeceased by his brother Robert Thomas and brother-in-law Norman Tapscott.
He leaves behind sister-in-law Edna Thomas, sister Betty Tapscott, brother Jim Thomas (Jean) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Markham Stouffville Hospital would be appreciated.
