Meyer LorraineMEYER, Lorraine (Lewis) - Passed away peacefully in her home in Toronto at 6:30 p.m. on April 17, 2018.

Lorraine was born on July 28, 1938 in Hamilton, Ontario to Harry and Margaret Lewis and grew up as the 2nd of four sisters, along with Donna, Linda and Debra.

She met her husband Bill in Grade 11 and they married on April 16, 1960. They moved to Orangeville, Ontario to start their careers as teachers and to raise a family.

Lorraine was a loving mother to Laurie (d. 1967), Cheryl (James), Darren (Trish), and Joanne (Dom), and Nana to Megan, Katelyn, Tabitha and Spencer.

Lorraine, an Ontario Scholar, taught at a number of elementary schools in Orangeville and is remembered by many of her students as a tough but excellent teacher.

She loved socializing with her many friends, and her bridge club. She enjoyed swimming, gardening, golfing and dancing, especially if Elvis was playing.

Lorraine and her smile will be greatly missed.

Please drop in to remember Lorraine on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Dods and McNair Funeral Home, Orangeville, Ontario, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m.
