Bernard AlineBERNARD, Aline Marie Ange (nee SAVARD)  - It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of a wonderful mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbour on Friday, April 13, 2018.

Cherished wife of the late Donald, mother of Elizabeth (Bijan Bayat), Loretta (William), Christine, grandchildren Salman (Ryanne), Parissa (Rhys), Alexandre and fur grandbaby Toulouse, great-grandchildren Soraya and Kian.

Treasured sister of the late Gerald (Sally), Rita, Jeannine (the late Marcel) and Ronald (Sandra).

She was an incredible woman, generous, kind and always there for her family. She helped and/or took in many of our friends in times of need.

She was intelligent, a voracious reader and valued education. There were always articles of interest cut out of the paper she had to share with us. She was creative, could whip something up on the sewing machine with ease and could turn a "sow's ear into a silk purse".

Sadly, what we thought was a cold in the fall turned out to be lung cancer... so ironic in this non-smoking, healthy eating, cooking everything from scratch lovely lady. We are heartbroken and will so miss her terribly. Reunited with Don, she will hopefully get in lots of reading up there.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., on Sunday, May 6th from 2-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to J127 Ranch, Kazakhstan, The Farm Kyrgyzstan, or Sea Shepherd Conservation Society would be appreciated.
