DUFFY, Marjorie Helen (nee ROBERTS)  - Peacefully at Seniors' Health Centre on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in her 104th year.

Loving mother of David and his wife Sonya.

Cherished grandmother to Robert and Caroline.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John (Jack) of 51 years. Also survived by many nieces and nephews across Canada.

Marjorie was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, the youngest of 13 children. She and John met working at the CIBC main branch in Moncton and after several postings in the Maritimes, they moved to Toronto when John took on various executive positions at head office.

Marjorie was devoted to St. Timothy's Anglican Church where she volunteered for decades and made lifelong friends in the St. Andrew's Group.

She led an active life. She loved to bowl, skate, quilt, play bridge and golf with her dear John. She delivered Meals on Wheels, served on various church committees and visited seniors in retirement homes.

In later years her greatest joy was looking after her grandchildren. Fiercely independent, she had a wicked sense of humour, always had a quick comeback and loved nothing better than a good joke. She faced the challenge of losing her eyesight over many years with great courage and dignity.

Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, on Sunday, May 6th from 2 to 5 p.m. Private family service.

If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
