DI IORIO, Aliessina (nee Di SALVO) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aliessina Di Iorio, formerly of Pietrabbondante, Italy.
She died peacefully at her home on May 5, 2018 in her 97th year.
Devoted mother of Alex, Lino (Lynne) and Jerry (Louise).
Lloving grandmother of Debbie (Rocco), Diane (Randall), Christie (Troy), Steven, Elio (Erin), Anthony, Michael (Alex) and David (Jesse) and great-grandmother of James, Eliot, Kate, Andrew, Blake, Hayley and Alice.
She will be greatly missed by her family, as well as her many friends and neighbours.
Although we grieve the loss of our beloved "Nonna," we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her husband Elio and family members who went before her.
Visitation will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St., on Tuesday, May 8th between the hours of 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., with a funeral Mass at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 92 Steeles Ave. W., on Wednesday, May 9th at 9:30 a.m.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
