Pearson MabelPEARSON, Mabel Janet (nee Low) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Wednesday May 9, 2018 in her 85th year.

Beloved mum to Elizabeth Grainger (James), Gail Calluori (Peter), Karen Bucci (Tony), Thomas Pearson and Craig Pearson (Kathy).

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Sean, Ryan (Becky), Matthew (Amber), Andrew (Jessica), Pierce, Tim, Brittany, Ryan and Natasha.

Loving big sister to Alex (Cathy) , Florence, Jessie, Marion (Fred), Arthur (Sarah) and David (predeceased).

She will be sadly missed by her dog, Willow.

Mabel was born November 25, 1033 to David and Lily Low, in Springburn, Glasgow Scotland and immigrated to Canada with husband William (Bill) Pearson in 1956. Mabel was well known in Aurora and Newmarket as an art teacher, the first Promotions Director for Aurora Shopping Centre, Promotions Director for McDonald's, advertising rep at The Topic Newspaper and recipient of the Order of Canada Award and Ontario Citizenship Volunteer Award.

She LOVED to golf! She will be remembered for her fiercely independent spirit, a woman ahead of her time and friend to many.

Thank you to Aurora Chartwell (Resthaven), especially Mill 2 staff for truly making her feel like family.

Friends may call at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, Newmarket. Visitation Monday, May 14th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
