YOUNG, Gilbert - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gilbert Young who joins the love of his life Marina, his father Jan Young Sr. and his brother Michael.
He leaves behind his beloved son Jeff and wife Melinda, his grandchildren Zachary, Cassandra and Jaclynne.
He is survived by his mother Esther Young, Aunt Mabel, Aunt Ruth and Uncle Len, brothers and sisters Geraldine (Ed), Richard (Fran), Jan Jr. (Lily), Steve (Elsie), Rosemary (Cal), Robert Stanley (Janice) and Susan (Theo).
He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. A funeral service will be on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3 p.m. with an hour prior visiting at the Highland Funeral Home, 10 Cachet Woods Crt., Markham.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations made to North York General Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
