McTAVISH, John Robert (Bob) - 1931-2018 Peacefully, on Sunday, May 6, 2018, Bob passed away at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Alice (nee Anstey) for 62 years.
Devoted father of Donald (Kelly), Barbara (Craig) and Michael (Annette).
Loving grandfather (Papa T.) to Michael, David and Kathryn McTavish and (Poppa T.) to Robert and Scott Gilpin.
Bob is survived by his much loved sister, Mary Pratt.
Bob spent most of his engineering career at Dominion Bridge Company (Toronto) where he met Alice.
He enjoyed early morning runs and played hockey until he was 65 years of age.
Many happy years were spent building and enjoying the family cottage on Browning Island, Lake Muskoka.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations made to Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation's Movement Disorders Clinic (Parkinson's Research) at www.tgwhf.ca/tribute would be appreciated by the family.
