ROTA, Rosemary - Peacefully, after a brave battle with cancer, on May 12, 2018, at La Clinica Publica in Pamplona, Navarra in the company and care of her dear husband Juan Carlos Iriarte of Cizur Mayor, her loving and beloved sons Andoni Iriarte (Guen) and Mikel Iriarte, her parents Maria Luz Rota and Antonio Rota and her brother Francisco Rota.
Her loss is felt deeply in the hearts of sister-in-law Fiona Marshall, much-loved nephew James and niece Ailie, sister-in-law Ana Iriarte and brothers-in-law Pablo and Jesus Iriarte.
Independent and persistent, she finished high school in Oakville and quickly started to build a life and a family in Spain.
Teaching English at a private academy in Pamplona, raising two excellent young men and welcoming her Canadian family to her home to experience her infinite generosity and hospitality, Rosemary gave of herself in all she did.
Her huge heart, quick and infectious laugh and selflessness were gifts to others and live on in all those she touched.
