FAVELL, John Richard Leonard (Len)  - July 11, 1924 - May 16, 2018

Loving father to Shirley, Linda, Brian, and Kimberley.

Predeceased by his mother Christina, father Richard, uncles Jack, Arthur, and Bill; aunts Dora and Rhoda Palin, and his beloved wife Muriel (nee Dunham).

Born in Amaranth, MB and raised in Newburg, NB, Len met his true love Muriel in Woodstock, NB where they married in 1944. Together Len and Muriel moved to Toronto where they started their family.

Len began his career in Goodyear and eventually retired after 35 years of service with Canadian General Electric. Not ready for retirement he decided to pursue his dream of owning and operating Keen Electric until he officially retired in his 85th year. His love of travel created many fond memories with family and friends; his keen interest in genealogy took him to explore ancestral roots in South Africa.

Len and family members enjoyed time spent at the cottage in Scarlet Park where many good times were enjoyed year-round. His hobbies included bowling, playing euchre, and participating in a cribbage league for over 50 years. Len will be sadly missed by extended family in New Brunswick and Ontario.

Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., for visitation on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
